Open Pub Discussion
Topic: Support the Troops? The Principle and the Personal
led by Allen Born* and the Rev. Jenni Ovenstone Smith
Thursday, March 15th 7pm
at Ryan’s Daughter Irish Pub
600 E. Belvedere Ave. in Belvedere Square, Baltimore
Grab a friend, a neighbor, a co-worker and bring them out to the pub. The OSP Young Adults will be hosting another of our open conversations about current issues, concerns, and controversies … all those places where faith issues and real life get interesting. You know all those topics you were told not to mention in polite company? We’ll probably hit on them all.
This time we will be talking about the tensions in reconciling views on the war in Iraq (whatever they may be) with the personal side of things — caring for those serving overseas, sometimes even family and friends. And all of this in light of our faith. There will be opportunities to discuss all the angles.
* Allen is a member of the OSP young adults group. His two brothers have each served multiple tours in Iraq.
The event is open to all people of all backgrounds, whatever your faith or your doubt. For more information, please contact the Rev. Jenni Ovenstone Smith (jenni@osp1692.org or 410-440-6322).

Third Sunday Worship
1601 Pleasant Plains Road, Annapolis
Third Sunday Band has its home at St. Margaret’s Church in Annapolis, MD. Begun in 1998 as an expression of contemporary worship music for a traditional setting, this group of friends and musicians has continually grown on its journey with God’s gift of music. Influenced by a diversity of musical styles, Third Sunday continually crafts popular Christian selections into unique arrangements of their own and performs original music. Third Sunday features acoustic and electric guitar, keyboard, harmonica, mandolin, flute, and percussion along with 6 vocalists in an energetic blend of traditional hymns and folk, rock, country and blues styled contemporary music. If you arrive for worship at St. Margaret’s Church in Annapolis on the third Sunday of each month you will find this unique musical offering with a traditional Episcopal liturgy.
